TINKER TOWN

Tinker Town is an introductory course for school children ages 7-10. The idea for students in the Tinker Town program is to lay the foundations for understanding the main concepts and themes of the STEAM curriculum. In order to bring the understanding of these concepts closer to the students and in this way for them to adopt more information, we have designed a whole alternative world that will guide students through a variety of experimentation and reflection. Tinker Town expands on the story of Marie and her nuclear family. She follows the adventures of her sister Leonarda and friend Nikola who broaden their horizons and meet the people and occupations needed for a small town to function successfully.

TINKER TOWN PLUSFor school children (age 7-10)

This is the program that comes after Tinker Town.  As a follow-up course it is only intended for students who have already taken Tinker Town. The concept of the course is the same (40 classes, once a week, 1 hour each).  In this course we continue to follow the story of Leonarda, Nikola, and the character’s that they meet in Tinker Town.  After establishing a methodology in Tinker Tots and Tinker Town, as well as a foundational understand of some of the key concepts that run across the STEAM spectrum, Tinker Town Plus is designed to go into more detail on the topics that they covered in the previous years, and to sharpen their critical thinking skills by introducing some more complex subjects.
